ACT • Verb || Take action; Do something

Met an amazing young man of God today. Michael, is a freshman football player at a local HS and lives right around the corner from me (Travis). He is aspiring to SERVE our country when he graduates to protect our God given freedoms we (myself included) take for granted.

Michael had walked by my house several times and noticed our American flag was extremely weathered. What he did next blew me away, HE ACTED. Today he rang my doorbell and delivered a pristine crisp new flag to wave proudly in front of our home. Something seemingly small had a big eternal impact. It's the little things people do out of overflow of their hearts that leave a lasting impression and initiate change. We shared our stories, our struggles and our FAITH.

We have a shared bond because we are brothers in CHRIST. This divine appointment was convicting and encouraging on so many levels. Convicting because there are various "small" acts of servitude I can embody each day but am too numb or distracted to partake in. Encouraging because it's refreshing to see a "young" man who lives boldly with Christ at the center of his life. I hope this story encourages and convicts you like it did me - to make a conscious decision to ACT no matter how insignificant you think it seems.

Galatians 5:13 " You my brothers and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather to serve one another humbly in love."
