“Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” - Proverbs 16:3

We are so thankful for What God did in, for and through us in 2017. We are even more excited to kick off a New Year and live out the NEW thing that God wants to do in our lives!

This blog started out as an idea and a conviction. That we could be doing more for the kingdom than we were with our resources. That in our journey, we could be looking to be made more like Him and make Him known together. That we could be more bold.

But God has given us fresh vision, bigger dreams, and a greater capacity for the call going into 2018. I don’t think we truly understood what we were starting when we set out to start a blog, the opposition that we would face, the months of feeling silenced and unable to express freely and authentically and more so, we didn’t realize the season we were stepping into.

But through the struggle has come testimony after testimony, breakthrough after breakthrough. In our lives and yours (we love hearing your stories of how our blogs ministered to you so keep them coming).

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned in 2017 that didn’t make it into a blog post, is to trust the visions, dreams and goals that God puts on your heart. To not become passive and simply reactionary to your circumstance. Especially in terms of what other people might declare over your life that ends up keeping you bound up in fear, stress or forgetting your worth is at the foot of the cross and that God has given you a voice, a purpose and a plan.

For those of you, just starting out on this journey with us, we wanted to share with you the heart of who we are!

SO WHO ARE WE?

We are Kingdom Minded, People Minded and Action minded!

What does that mean?

Kingdom Minded:

It means that in all circumstances we seek to maintain a heavenly perspective. That’s not easy, and it doesn’t always start out that way for us (as you can tell if you’ve read our blogs) but this is the outlook we strive to achieve. We keep God at the center of our lives and His people at the forefront of our minds. And seek to see beyond what we currently are experiencing and draw closer to the heart and character of God.

People Minded:

Jesus was in the business of people, and He has commissioned us to do the same. So our blog exists for YOU! God has called us to be in genuine community because we aren’t meant to do this life alone. So as God’s children, we should seek to be an extension of His love. And that’s what we hope to do here. Be an extension of His love through sharing our breakthroughs and revelations, and hearing your stories of freedom.

Action Minded:

We seek to be what we don’t see. That means if you haven’t experienced love, then BE LOVE to somebody else because God first loved you so you can. If you don’t see community in your sphere of influence then BE THE COMMUNITY! This is what we mean in taking action. It’s so easy to complain about the things you wish you had, the relationships you wish existed in your world! So why not just be that friend you never had, share the thoughts you’ve never seen shared and be what you don’t see.

THE HEART Behind Travis & Kyra as a brand:

“I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.” - Ephesians 3:7 NIV

We consider it a privilege and a gift to be able to use our voices to share the good news! That God would use what little we have to offer to be a small part of His plan!

Sometimes we can get lost in the day to day and forget that it’s a gift! A gift that we’ve received through God’s grace and there is nothing we find more joy in than creating a space in which people have the permission to be authentic in their vulnerability as well as encouraging people into a deeper relationship and an encounter with God.

Our hope is that through this blog, people would be encouraged to experience God in new and profound ways despite their circumstance, that people would have permission to be authentic in their vulnerability, that people would stop believing the lies of the enemy that tell them that they are alone and the only ones going through heartaches and struggles, that people would stand on who God is and lastly, we hope that through our blog people would see that we are all interconnected because behind every struggle is a name and for every breakthrough is a life attached and our job is to speak into that life, when God places Him/Her in our world and to receive when it’s the other way around.
